Milestone for Scottish talent group

A business group for young entrepreneurs in the Capital has celebrated its 60th anniversary.

The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Scotland held its gala awards ceremony in the city's George Hotel. JCI Edinburgh won the top chamber award out of the four that are in Scotland.

The chamber was also praised for its training and development programme. Best new member went to Findlay Paul, from Edinburgh solicitors' firm Springfords. JCI Scotland is a personal development and networking organisation for men and women in their 20s and 30s. It is a global organisation with 200,000 members in 100 countries and territories worldwide.

Norman Quirk, chairman of the Scottish Chambers, said: "JCI Scotland is a unique forum in which our nation's future leaders and entrepreneurs can develop."
