Solicitor General sworn in
Jersey’s new Solicitor General pledged yesterday that the pursuit of justice would be the primary focus of his office 'at this time of pain and anxiety for many of my fellow Islanders'.
Addressing a packed Royal Court at his swearing-in, Advocate Tim Le Cocq said that there had to be justice for those accused of crimes and the Island as a whole, as well as victims.
Mr Le Cocq, who qualified as a Jersey advocate in 1985 after qualifying as a barrister in London, was joined by his wife and children at the ceremony.
