Construction disputes company plans for International growth
Dispute resolution company Driver Group Plc has seen strong growth in its overseas business.
The Rossendale-based company posted pre-tax profits of £1.05m in the year to September 30, compared with £1.98m a year earlier. Revenues rose 13 per cent to £20.5m with sales in the Middle East up 85 per cent to £5.75m.
Although UK earnings suffered the group saw strong growth in their overseas business, particularly in the Middle East sales grew to £5.8m from £3.1m. Although the construction industry in Dubai has been severely affected by the global recession, the group has expanded into Oman and Abu Dhabi, with increases in their expert witness services.
The Company plan for more growth for the company's expert, consultancy and project services to come from new territories in the Middle East as well as Africa, the Far East and Asia.
The company has created five new business units: Middle East, International, Expert Services, Consultancy Services (UK) and Project Services, each led by a managing director.
The group will be making further investment in the senior management team over the coming year in order to support the development of their international operations.
