Footballers solicitors reject claims

Solicitors acting on behalf of Port Vale Lee Sinnott have rejected claims made by the club that they have attempted to resolve their dispute.

Sinnott, whose deal with the League Two club was due to expire in the summer of 2010, was sacked by Vale back in September. Negotiations over a settlement for the rest of his contract have since stalled with the 43-year-old demanding the full sum agreed while Vale have reportedly attempted to offer a smaller figure and are understood to be keen on staggered payments.

Sinnott's solicitors, Russell Jones & Walker, also claim Vale failed to meet a legal deadline last Friday to try and resolve the matter, but Vale chairman Bill Bratt insists he has attempted to contact Lee without any success. Since Lee's departure from PVFC he has not been contacted by any board member of the club.
